Teasers for the next character in Apex Legends I just got to the Apex Games.
Starting today, players can collect key cards as part of the new legend teaser and be invited to “prove their worth in the arena” and activate the platform in the action range. To interact with it, a small ice hunt is required.
Key cards will be removed from care packs during matches. Getting them is the first step in the teaser, but it’s certainly not the last. Grabbing a key will display a message about ringing interference, so players have to try it somewhere outside the ring – more precisely, the main menu.
The card will be visible in the corner of the hall and clicking on it will open an invitation. “If fame and fortune are all you seek, Legend, your path ends here” the message reads. “But a new challenge awaits those who want to prove their worth in the arena.” Players will also receive a set of lenses to scan three holo-sprays in Kings Canyon and another three on Olympus.
Holo-sprays will appear on all Olympus and Kings Canyon matches. You can scan them on multiple matches, but only three of them will generate in any case of the game, according to data miner Shrugtal. He compiled it a map of possible breeding locations over both maps.
After grabbing holo-sprays in both Kings Canyon and Olympus, players will be challenged to enter the access code only in the shooting range. Upon entering the training ground, a marker will indicate the way to the console on the platform. The password unlocks the console, although it is on a countdown until April 20 – similar to how the Kings Canyon loot bunkers were on a timer before players could enter them.
It is unclear what will happen on April 20, but Respawn teased a meeting in his video of 100 million players: April 19. This means that next week will be a busy one for Apex fans as the accumulation of the new season takes off with steam.
