Lego Super Mario started shouting for Luigi • Eurogamer.net

The electronic player Lego Super Mario started calling his brother, noticed an owner.

After a firmware update this week, Lego Super Mario is now calling for Luigi after he was woken up for a nap.

The video images of this phenomenon appeared online thanks to the Twitter user’s post below Jay Phoenix – and Lego itself has now commented on the mysterious situation.

In response to a Facebook post highlighting this week’s Super Mario toy update and responding to someone asking about a potential debut in Luigi, the official Lego account wrote the following:

“Now it’s a very creative way to attract his missing brother. I noticed that Lego Mario has started calling him, we are analyzing him and we hope to be clear about what he will be soon. Stay tuned! :)”

Either Super Mario gains a Toy Story awareness level, or this feels like a very clever Lego marketing campaign. Get toys to call their missing counterparts! Parents, be warned.

Luigi appears in the form of Lego is not a surprise. The Lego Super Mario range was one of the largest launches of the company in recent years, both in terms of sales and the number of sets offered. The Super Mario Lego worth at least £ 500 was available when the range was launched last summer, with 16 additional sets added in January.

So, did Luigi confirm? It certainly seems likely. Lego sites The Brick Fan and Brick Fanatics both reported on whispers that Luigi will arrive as part of the next big wave of Mushroom Kingdom sets expected this summer.
