Amazon Kindle owners can now set the lock screen image on the cover of the book they are reading. Poster cover feature long delayed for the first time Engadget, was previously only available after you jailbreak your device (and a popular motivator for doing so). Amazon says it works with “most books, magazines, comics and manga.”
The Display Cover feature is only supported on some ad-free Kindle devices. These devices include Kindle (8th, 10th generation), Kindle Paperwhite (7th, 10th generation), Kindle Oasis (8th, 9th, 10th generation ) and Kindle Voyage (7th generation). Supported Kindle devices running the latest firmware can activate the Display Cover feature by activating the Show Cover option in Settings, Device Options. Just make sure anything you read is something you’re willing to advertise, right?
