Hasbro is partnering with Roblox to develop Monopoly and Nerf products

Toy maker Hasbro announced on Tuesday a partnership with Roblox, an online video game platform, to launch Roblox-themed Nerf and Monopoly merchandise.

The shares of both companies traded more after the announcement. Hasbro shares gained more than 1%, while Roblox shares reached 52 weeks on Tuesday, $ 82.03. Recently, Roblox shares have increased by over 7%.

Nerf blasters will have various Roblox games, such as Arsenal and Jailbreak, and will be available this fall in US stores. Each blaster will include a code that players can redeem online for a virtual blaster to use in the game.

“Our design teams have done a phenomenal job of capturing the creativity and essence of Roblox creators and the most captivating, innovative Roblox NERF blaster games,” said Adam Kleinman, Nerf’s vice president of global marketing, in a press release .

In addition, a new version of Monopoly will incorporate popular Roblox experiences into the game. It will also include code that players can use online for an exclusive virtual object. The board game will be available for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse in the US and Canada and at the Big Bad Toy Shop.

A Nerf brand experience will be launched on the Roblox platform later this year.
