Matthew Perry posts and deletes the BTS photo of the “Friends” reunion

He could be more excited?

Matthew Perry took to Instagram on Saturday to share a behind-the-scenes video, preparing for the upcoming “Friends” reunion, only to delete the post a few moments later.

“A few seconds before eating a makeup brush, not to mention reuniting with my friends,” he titled his selfie on a makeup chair.

The post exceeded 27,000 ratings before the actor deleted it from his account.

Further confirmation can be found by co-star David Schwimmer, who told Andy Cohen in early March that the cast and crew will begin production “in a little over a month.”

“I’m heading to Los Angeles,” he said at the time. “So, finally, I mean, I’ve found a way to film it safely, and there’s going to be a part of it that we’re filming outside because, you know, of security protocols.”

The “friends” play Schwimmer; Jennifer Aniston, 52; Courteney Cox, 56; Lisa Kudrow, 57; Matt LeBlanc, 53, and Perry, 51, were initially expected to regroup for the HBO Max release in May 2020. But with the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, filming was delayed and postponed again, and again, and again, again, and … well, you got the idea.

Clearly, they’ve had to pivot a lot since then because the crew won’t be filming a real episode. Kudrow confirmed in an interview with Variety last summer that “it won’t be Phoebe.” Aniston added that “it won’t be Rachel, even though I’m about. Well, we’re all kinds of little snippets of them. Not quite, not exactly. But yes. ”
