Phillies takes the rubber game from the Mets

PHILADELPHIA – So many people expected JT Realmuto to get a record contract from this period outside of the Mets season.

New York signed James McCann instead.

Phillies eventually signed Realmuto to a five-year, $ 115.5 million contract, making him the highest paid player in baseball history. He could make a fun story in the next few seasons, while the Phillies and Mets compete in the Eastern National League. Imagine, for example, if Realmuto beats the Mets, as Chase Utley did.

Realmuto made its presence felt in the Phillies’ 8-2 victory over the Mets at Citizens Bank Park. Philadelphia won the three-game series and started the season 5-1. Realmuto went and scored on Alec Bohm’s house in three innings in the first half and hit a half in three innings on the right field in the fifth half. Rhys Hoskins also entered the game, as Phillies’ offense had the best game after a quiet start.

Phillies’ right-hander Aaron Nola fought in four innings, although he allowed only one run. In 92 pitches, he gave up six shots and went two.
