Major League Baseball has announced that the All-Star Game and other All-Star Week activities – including the upcoming All-Star Game and Amateur Draft – will take place at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado.
Initially, the All-Star Game, scheduled for July 13, was to take place at Truist Park in Atlanta. However, last week, MLB announced that it was withdrawing its headquarters from that city, due to a controversial law that now governs the voting process in the state of Georgia.
It will be Colorado’s second All-Star game since their first in 1998.
“Major League Baseball is grateful to the Rockies, Denver City and Colorado for their support of this summer’s All-Star Game,” said MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, first class for our game and region. We look forward to celebrating the best players in our sport and entertaining fans around the world. “
