The President of the Central Electoral Council (JCE), Román Jáquez Liranzo, reported that in about a month and a half, the 165 offices and service centers will be able to issue valid civil status records that will not be legalized.
Jáquez Liranzo gave the explanation on Monday morning at the Civil Registry Office of the 10th district of the national district, where the pilot plan was officially launched and the first validated minutes were issued.
“From now on, these minutes will circulate with the QR code and the number bar that will serve as the recipient entity to certify that the certificate is certified, they will circulate with the previous model until a month, a month and a half we can equip all prosecutor’s offices”, said the JCE president, who added that staff working in field offices are already trained so the system can be implemented in the coming months.
Jáquez recalled that the agency issued a communication a few weeks ago to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Higher Electoral Court, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the Superintendency of Banks, the General Directorate of Passports, the General Directorate of Migration, the General Directorate of Pensions and pensions, the Dominican Bank Association, the Dominican League of Savings Associations and the Major League Baseball (MLB) on the process and that the issue has been socialized since January.

“I arrived here at 8 in the morning and by 8:05 everything was ready; Before, all this was a matter of a week, “said Báez, who had recently completed the process in this office.
Everything happens so fast that at first the user checks the information with a representative of the JCE, then pays 400 pesos at the cashier for issuing the document and then it is printed, validated.
