Goodbye to the duke! Netflix has just confirmed from Lady Whistledown that actor Regé-Jean Page will not be in the second season of the hit series “Brigderton”.

The actor had a contract for only one season, so, despite his popularity, he was only stipulated to participate in the first tranche.
This is sad news for fans of the Julia Quinn book series. Although several media outlets have indicated that the next chapters of the series will refer to the character, this will not appear on the screen.
Bridgerton’s second season will be about finding a suitable marriage for Bridgerton’s older brother, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), as told in the second book in the series “Viscount Who Loved Me.” Anthony’s love interest, Kate Sharma, will be played by Simone Ashley.
