Wilson opened up about their vaccination status when he co-hosted Hoda Kotb’s surprise on The Today Show on Friday, April 2nd.

The singer and actress then explained: “We are in line now because so many people are vaccinated and open up to the next level.”

Wilson also shared her hopes for the future after receiving the vaccine.
“But, yes, even when we found out we have antibodies and that was great because you knew you had some protection, that’s why the vaccine helps people,” she said.
“To witness people embracing each other for the first time in a year, grandparents embracing their grandchildren, people embracing their parents, is nothing like it. This is truly a gift. ‘
Just in December last year, Hanks said he would publicly receive the vaccine to convince more people that it is safe during an appearance on Today.

Last month, Wilson reflected on her diagnosis on her one-year anniversary, posting a photo of the couple in quarantine in Australia.
“A year ago, today I was playing at the Sydney Opera @sydneyoperahouse, the next day I started to feel very tired and painful, two days later hospitalized with Covid 19. I want to take a moment to say how grateful we are for our health, we are grateful for the medical care we received in Queensland and for sharing in the sadness of every person who has lost a loved one because of this virus.
She also wrote about how she is “hopeful that so many will be able to get the vaccine.”
One year later: Just last month, Wilson shared a photo with her and Hanks in quarantine in Australia to mark a year since they became public with their diagnosis.
Hanks revealed that he and his wife tested positive for COVID-19 on March 11, 2020, while filming the upcoming film Elvis in Queensland, Australia. This was at a time when the virus was considered a global pandemic.
The couple was admitted to Gold Coast University Hospital for care and was finally released on March 16. They were then quarantined for 11 days before returning to their Los Angeles home, where they remained locked up.
Hanks and Wilson both donated antibodies from their blood for virus research.
