Ally McBeal restarts work with 56-year-old Calista Flockhart, considered to resume her role as super imaginative lawyer
This successful show from the late ’90s that won the Primetime Emmy helped put several stars on the map, including Calista Flockhart and Jane Krakowski.
And on Friday, TV Line reported that a rebirth of Ally McBeal is currently in the works, with the 56-year-old titular star Calista, with her eyes on the return.

Show creator David E. Kelley previously mentioned his support for a restart of McBeal, however, he called for a woman to be the main creative force behind the new iteration.
“I would be open to the idea of Ally McBeal doing it again, but I don’t think I should do it. If she did, she really should be a woman, ”Michelle Pfeiffer told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018.

The news about Ally McBeal’s rebirth comes as countless shows from the 90’s have seen a new life, from the unfortunate reboot Roseanne (now The Conners) to Mad About You and Will & Grace.
In addition, fans are looking forward to an ongoing update to the hit HBO series Sex And The City, which will take place later this year.
While McBeal initially ran on Fox, no current network or streaming platform is yet attached to reboot.
