The young Valentina Arbeláez, former presenter of Citytv and Canal RCN, died on Thursday following the fight with severe hydrocephalus diagnosed in 2014.

As her health deteriorated, her family decided to take her to a clinic in Bogotá, where she lost her life days later.

On September 3, 2014, she suffered a stroke that left her in intensive care for several days and severely impaired her motor functions, preventing her from continuing her career as a presenter.

María Eugenia Ramírez, the young woman’s mother, assured in the Lo Sé Todo program that the health care companies did not provide enough care to her daughter. “A nurse and a physiotherapist broke her left knee during one of the therapies,” his mother told the environment.

The mother also commented that EPS and IPS did not send the necessary supplies to Arbelaéz and permanently changed the medical staff who assisted her. “They send what they want and at the desired time. It’s very simple for them, “Ramirez said.

Valentine’s Facebook account, run by her relatives, launched various fundraising initiatives and managed to gain the support of celebrities such as comedian Gerly Hassam Gómez, also known as Hassam.
