SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District will provide 30,000 meetings with the first dose of Pfizer vaccine starting at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Residents can register for an appointment on the Metro Health COVID-19 vaccine registration site.
People who do not have internet access can call the 311 COVID Customer Service line between 8:00 and 17:00 during the week and from 8:00 to 12:00 on weekends.
All appointments will be scheduled from April 6 to May 1 at Alamodome, according to a press release.
People who decide to opt for the San Antonio text alert system can send text messages VACCINE at 55000 or in Spanish VACCINE at 55000. By registering, they will receive a text notifying them of locations that have available appointments. Opting for this text alert system will not enroll you in a vaccine or add you to a waiting list. This is an additional way to inform the community when new meetings are available. At this time, the notifications will be for Alamodome, Wonderland of the Americas, managed by University Health, UT Health San Antonio and WellMed.
