After spending so much time at home in the last year, many people want a change in their surroundings.
But if a coat of paint or some creative renovations fail to do the trick, there is now a more extreme alternative: the digital home.
NFTs have recently appeared in titles, allowing the online sale of digital arts and other meditations, such as drawings or music.
An NFT is a unique digital symbol that effectively verifies authenticity and ownership. It is encrypted with the artist’s signature on the blockchain, a digital register used in cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin.

The new owner paid digital artist Krista Kim 288 Ether – a cryptocurrency equivalent to $ 514,557.79 – for the virtual property.
Instead, the buyer will receive 3D files to upload to “Metaverse”.
Metaverse is a virtual extension of our world, Kim told CNN on Tuesday, where virtual land is bought and traded and digital homes and businesses are built.
There is a market for digital assets such as fashion and accessories, and users can live and interact in a Metaverse through their digital avatar.
Kim said the concept behind the house was “inspired by the pandemic blockade.”
Kim, who describes herself as an “artist of technology,” told CNN: “Mars House is the next generation of NFTs. It’s a sign of the future, as we enter an AR (augmented reality) future interface, with the launch of Apple AR Glasses and AR contact lenses.
“Art, NFTs, cryptocurrencies … these radical changes and ideas about how we will live with digital assets are becoming a reality and will create a global paradigm shift.
“Also, after we shut down because of Covid-19, we need more innovative ideas about how our inner environments can heal us, because mental health has become a major concern for everyone.”

The artist said she collaborated with musician Jeff Schroeder of The Smashing Pumpkins to create a soothing musical accompaniment.
Record month for NFTs
The sale was made last week – in addition to what was a record month for NFTs.
The first NFT work of art sold for action for a staggering $ 69 million on March 11, placing the Beeple artist at the top of the most expensive living artists to date.
And Gucci has launched digital-only footwear sales at prices below hundreds of dollars below what their usual physical shoes sell.
