A 17-year-old who was speeding in a 2010 Toyota Camry was killed in a three-vehicle crash in the Linda Vista community of San Diego, which also left five other people seriously injured and life threatening, a police officer said on Saturday.
A 17-year-old boy driving a 2008 Nissan Altima was driving west on 2700 block of Genesee Avenue when Toyota drove off Nissan around 11 p.m., made an unsafe left turn and wiped Nissan, said San Diego Police Department officer Robert Heims.
The Toyota Camry continued west and collided with a 2020 Mazda 3 driven by a 21-year-old woman heading east on the 2700 block of Genesee Avenue, Heims said.
The 17-year-old Toyota man was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Two of his three passengers were seriously injured, Heims said.
The Nissan driver and his two passengers had only complaints of pain. The 2010 Mazda 3 driver and his two passengers suffered life-threatening injuries, he said.
