Black Widow will be 100% the next movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This certainty flutters, however, when you try and guess When in fact it will be released.

After more delays thanks to covid-19, Scarlet Johansson the vehicle is currently scheduled for release on May 7. And although Disney has released major theatrical releases, such as Soul, Mulan, and Raya and the last dragon on Disney + streaming service, any indication is that Black Widow he won’t take that route. It will be a theatrical release.

If it is not.

In a new interview, Disney CEO Bob Chapek said the decision on how to launch Black Widowand all other future Disney movies will be made at the “last minute.”

“Our situation and conditions are changing,” Chapek said CNBC (via Deadline). “Just a few weeks ago, the theaters in New York and Los Angeles weren’t even open. Now, they are suddenly open, so we are waiting to see how potential theater spectators react to these reopenings. We will remain flexible. We’ll probably call at the last minute about how these movies come on the market, whether it’s Black Widow or any other title. ”

Of course, Chapek is right in the cinemas of the two biggest moviesgoing markets have begun to reopen, albeit with limited capacity. What Disney and other studios will expect is to see if the audience actually returns to fill those theaters. That it will happen gradually as covid-19 vaccines continue to be distributed, but there is no way to predict any chronology.

As this happens, Widow and all the other movies have a lot of options. Disney can only release movies in theaters, only on Disney + (Soul did this, but it is the least likely option) simultaneously on both platforms with Disney + Premier access (such as the studio did with Mulan and Raya), or even reflects the Paramount strategy, which is just launching into the theater with a very fast turnstreaming around. If anything, the last option seems to be the most plausible for Disney to enter the summer.

Whenever it opens, you will be able to read everything about it Black Widow Here.
