A new PC version of Nier: Automata, part a Become like the edition of the gods, has just been released on the Microsoft Store and Game Pass. And early reports are that, unlike the version available on Steam, this one is actually construction.

The original PC release of the game on Steam in 2017 was a notoriously poor port, so much so that fans had to intervene and work on “ways” which fixed things that should have worked at launch, from framerate to troubleshooting.

As notorious as the port, however, seems to be the apparent desire of the publisher Square Enix to do something to fix the game, leaving it on the market for years, warts and all, despite machines critical and commercial success.

That changed this week with computers Become like the edition of the gods– first released on Xbox in 2018 – which early users report is very good, and so is probably a direct port of it enhanced Xbox edition, and not … regardless of the collection of rat wires and broken glass from which the original PC version was made.

This PC version of Become like gods is available on Game Pass, but also directly on the Microsoft Store if you read this in the future and have been removed from the subscription service.

Note: Although this appears to be a higher version of the original, there are still things present (such as an fps cover) that FAR mode can fix or improve, so if you still want to check this out (or see if it works at all with this version, maybe not!), you can find it Here.
