It is clear that the Raiders intend to be active in the free agency this year. So far, they have signed only one free agent from outside, curbing Yannick Ngakoue. Mike Mayock recently stated that the Raiders are looking to get deep into the free agency this year and have a lot of holes to fill.
One of the positions they seek to bring someone is the wide receiver. And with Nelson Agholor signing with the Patriots to open a free agency, he has to look outside.
The Raiders have been linked with veteran AJ Green, but clearly in the twilight of his career, Green would not be a priority signature. More of a backup option.
There are a handful of top receivers for free agents. One of the first to agree to the terms was Marvin Jones Jr. He headed for Jacksonville. And, according to Mike Silver, the Raiders also tried to sign the former Lions receiver.
Jones also had offers from the Raiders and Texans https://t.co/tIVDwmsEL0

Jones’ deal would be a two-year deal, $ 14.5 million, with $ 9.2 million fully guaranteed according to ESPN Adam Schefter.
The deal comes a day after WR Corey Davis had already agreed to a deal with the Jets.
But even with Davis and Jones gone, there’s still a lot of talent at the receiver, including the top guy, Jones’ former teammate Kenny Golladay, and former Steelers Pro Bowl receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Others include: TY Hilton, Curtis Samuel, Sammy Watkins, Keenan Cole and Breshad Perriman
