Meringue player Raúl Armando del Valle joins the head of the Grupo Manía orchestra after Rubiel Barroso left the group for personal reasons, announced founding member Banchy Serrano.
Del Valle, who belonged to the Karís Group, in addition to trying his luck as a soloist, had ruled out continuing on stage and was in self-imposed “retirement” until he received a proposal from Manía Group manager Alexis Vázquez to the manager joined.
“I was already retired, practically, I was concentrating, I was working, when Alexis came to me and made me this proposal. I decided that my career was over, but I decided that because what better way than to close my career years being in the number one group in the world, Grupo Manía, and for me it is a privilege, an honor and I am extremely grateful they took me into account, ”Del Valle told a virtual news conference.
He promised to give his best on stage, for which he has already started working.
The arrival of the new member follows Barroso’s departure on Thursday, for personal reasons, which Serrano said he did not know.
“The other member leaves for personal reasons, which we do not know, but we respect,” said the leader of the orchestra.
Serrano was excited about Del Valle’s delivery, which he had as a competitor of the genre and as a friend on stage.
“This boy will add a lot to the group and I am extremely grateful that I have him in the group,” he said of the performer, whose contribution was also received by the other two members, Daniel Serrano and Emmanuel Vizcarrondo. “We understand that it is a powerful tool to continue this legacy,” he continued.
Del Valle will have his first performance with the orchestra tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Telemundo program “Raymond y sus amigos”.
Currently, Grupo Manía promotes the single “Hula Hoop”, composed by Daniel Serrano, with an arrangement that captures the rhythmic essence of the orchestra.
