The shootings took place just before 8pm on Friday at the Francis Myers Recreation Center on 58th Street and Kingsessing Street.
Investigators could be seen looking for evidence over the basketball court.
Police said the 17-year-old was once shot in the chest.
The teenager, whose identity remains unknown, was transported by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
No weapons were recovered from the scene, officials said.
No arrests were made.
Not far from that scene, on 55th and Christian Streets, patrols were set up around another recreation center, Christy Recreation Center, after 16-year-old Kahree Simmons was shot and killed on Thursday at the basketball court.

Police said four men got out of a small SUV and started firing, hitting Simmons and two other teenagers who were playing.
Action News spoke to his family earlier Friday.
“Kahree was loved. He didn’t deserve it, he didn’t do anything. He left the house and went to play basketball with his friends. That was it,” Kahree’s brother, Stephen Simmons, said.
Ask for help with the arrest.
“I beg everyone who hears me right now to think about this if he was your child. I was just like you, we see him on the news and I never thought it would be our situation, but today is our situation,” he said. Stephen Simmons.
Also Thursday, a security video captured the sounds and part of a quadruple shot in the 1400 block of N. 76th Street in Overbrook Park.
Another 16-year-old man was killed, as well as a 24-year-old man.
During a press conference at recreation, at 55 and Christian, Mayor Jim Kenney said the city will begin weekly updates on the epidemic of gun violence.
“The briefings will be open to members of the media and will be publicly posted on the Philadelphia Facebook page,” Kenney said.
While police were investigating the murder of Kingsessing, an apartment fire broke out across the street.
The fire started just before 9 pm, when smoke could be seen from a two-storey duplex.
The crews brought the fire under control in 15 minutes.
They were not injured in the fire.
