They were here. It’s time. Bubble Watch is live.
After six weeks of updates twice a week, we are converging on the final explosion of the pre-NCAA Tournament season. We started the same process last year, of course, and we all know what happened then: the tournaments stopped, Bubble Watch stopped, the sport we love and this strange, word-filled, contextually obsessed column that we create together , was frozen in place. The latest BW update in 2020, submitted by the Greensboro, NC media center, promised to “end the fight”; it was about 15 minutes before the world stopped. I was on a flight back to DC later that day.
So, yes, there is something very satisfying about this year’s Bubble Watch until its end.
