Danilo Díaz: “PLD is the hope of an unprotected people”

Díaz explained that the PLD is “ready and ready” to start managing the opposition to the current government administration and that it will focus on social policies and the “high cost of living”.

“Issues that I had removed from the political agenda, such as hunger, the high cost of living, the kind of things that have not been heard today are present in the realm of Dominican families … we are here to accompany those people in their struggle and their conquest, “the political leader said.

The deputy delegate to the Central Electoral Council (JCE) also said that the PLD, as a party, is waiting to end its internal process in order to start its activity as “the only majority opposition party”.

Last Sunday, the 45 members of the political committee were elected, including the acclaim of the former president of the Republic, Danilo Medina, as party president and the election of former senator Charlie Mariotti as secretary general.

The authorities who will lead that match between now and 2025 will be officially sworn in this Sunday in a ceremony that will take place at 10 am at the Palacio de los Deportes.
