At around 5:30 PM, the DPI reported the arrest of the alleged criminal, tentatively identified as Marco Tulio Macías.

The head of this institution, Commissioner Rommel Martinez confirmed that “we have gathered material evidence that enabled us to arrest the suspect in the death of attorney Melvin Bonilla.”
The arrest was made in a house in the Bernardo Dazzi neighborhood, very close to where the motorcycle in question was found; they confiscated a firearm and stores of marijuana.
