A Hispanic man who cut off his lover’s penis with scissors in 2019 was sentenced by a Florida judge to 20 years in prison plus 10 years probation, local media reported.
Alex Bonilla, 51, pleaded guilty to, among other things, kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the WCJB television channel.
The events took place in 2019 after Bonilla found out that his wife was cheating on him with a neighbor.
The now convicted man went to the other man’s house and forced him to go to the bedroom at gunpoint, where he tied him to a chair and then cut off his penis with scissors.
All of this happened while in the house, although some children were present in another room, so at the start of the trial Bonilla was also charged with child abuse, a charge that was dropped before the conviction.
According to Gilchrist County Sheriffs (North Florida), Bonilla left the scene and took his penis.
The victim called the emergency number and said who his aggressor was, so at the same time the emergency services came to his rescue, the police went to Bonilla’s house and detained him.
The judge who convicted Bonilla ordered him to pay his victim more than $ 250,000 in damages.
