Police arrest youthful neighbor who reported harassment via social media

Dariel Bravo Rivera, 30, was arrested this evening at his residence in Río Piedras, following a complaint by 19-year-old Victoria Pizarro Ayala, through a video posted on a social platform, in which he claims that he was the victim of a pattern of harassment from your neighbor.

“Following the public complaints of the young woman and her family this morning and in view of the Follow-up Law and Executive Order 2021-13, issued by Governor Pedro Pierluisi, we have decided to activate the existing protocol for this type of protected cases.” , said Police Commissioner Antonio López Figueroa.

“We will investigate this case and we are confident that the Court will protect this young woman with the diligence she deserves,” the police commissioner added.

Pizarro Ayala recounted, in a live video, the moment when the man came to the balcony of his residence to try to open the door while she was alone. He also denounced an alleged pattern of harassment in 2018, by who his neighbor is. For this reason, the young woman claimed that on several occasions her family resorted to the courts in search of prosecution orders.

Agent Juan Ramos Rivera arrested Bravo Rivera at around 10:45 pm for elements that could constitute a serious crime under Law 284 of the investigation. The case will be consulted tomorrow at the Prosecutor’s Office.
