The Volkswagen brand has stopped production of one of its most iconic cars, the Gulf, which was manufactured at the plant in Puebla, Mexico, to give way to a new global strategy for the automaker.
Instead of the Golf and after seven years since it was manufactured by the hands of Puebla, Volkswagen will start the production of Taos with modern facilities and spaces left by the hatchback.
The YouTube broadcast saw the departure of the last Gulf assembly line in Mexico. It should be noted that with the eighth generation of the product, it is still built in Germany.
The Gulf and all its generations took a very special tour in a caravan around the capital Puebla this afternoon.
