Princess Latifa of Dubai, who was held captive by her father after an escape attempt in 2018, asked British police to investigate the abduction of her sister, Princess Shamsa, more than 20 years ago. In a letter written in 2019 but sent to Cambridgeshire and BBC police just this week, Princess Latifa wrote that if British law enforcement examined the abduction of her sister, which was done at the request of their father Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , could have led to Shamsa’s release. Shamsa was abducted from a street in Cambridge during an escape attempt at the age of 18. Last week, there were videos on her mobile phone about Princess Latifa saying that she has no access to fresh air or sunlight and is being held in police custody.
