Run one and you are good for the cash reward
Super Mario Bros. 35 goes on and Nintendo tries to push people back into the free-to-play (with Switch Online, for that person who will point out that it’s not “free” in the comments!) adventure with the events. As it moves toward its impending expiration date of March 31 (I still can’t believe it), you can dive in and kill some Goombas for fun and profit.
All you have to do to get credit is just kill a Goomba in the game, but collectively, everyone has to eradicate 350 million of them. The event takes place right now until Monday, March 1 at 22:59 PT. You can find the full details below just to be sure you’re good to go!
This is actually the second event to award a platinum bonus to My Nintendo members. Recently, Nintendo carried out a very similar activity, which offered people 350 points, but only involved the killing of Bowser.
Super Mario Bros. 35 2nd World Challenge [Nintendo]
For the 2nd World Count challenge, players will have to defeat 350 million Goombas in the special Super Mario Bros. battles. 35 and 35 players played between February 22, Monday 23:00 PT and March 1, Monday 22:59 PT. If the goal is reached, all participating accounts that have defeated a Goomba at least once during the event will receive 350 Platinum points ** that can be used in the My Nintendo rewards program.
