Paramount + is based on reboots and spin-offs for the streaming service

ViacomCBS is tilting its old favorites hard when it comes to completing its future Paramount + streaming service.

On Wednesday, the company highlighted a series of new film and television projects that it intends to bring to the platform after its debut on March 4. Many of these new titles will be familiar to the public, as they will be reboots, spin-offs or pre-orders of popular movies and series.

Paramount + will also host a number of original shows, movies and documentaries, including a series based on the “Halo” video game franchise.

In addition, content that was only available on CBS All-Access will be rebranded under the Paramount + banner. This includes “Star Trek: Discovery”, “The Good Fight” and “Why Women Kill”.

The streaming service will be packaged with over 2,500 library movies from franchises such as “Mission Impossible”, “Transformers” and “Indiana Jones”.

Dates for a new appointment were not announced during the presentation, but Bob Bakish, president and CEO of ViacomCBS, said Paramount + will release 36 original series in its first year. The service will lean heavily on children’s programs, real television and drama series with screenplays.

Here’s a look at what’s next at Paramount +:

“Criminal minds” – After 15 seasons and over 300 episodes, “Criminal Minds” took its last arc a little over a year ago. The top series will return to Paramount + each season exploring a single case over 10 episodes.

Flashdance – Set today, this drama series returns to where the original “Flashdance” remained. The story revolves around the struggles of a young woman to make her mark in the ballet world while navigating money, romance and friendship. “Mad Men” writer Tracy McMillian writes and performs the series.

“Hate” – The iconic video game franchise will reach Paramount + as a series. The story will take place in the 26th century, against the background of an extraterrestrial threat known as the Pact.

Land Man – The series is set in West Texas and follows the “savage and savage billionaires” as they seek their fortune in the world of oil rigs.

“Love story” – Based on the film of the same name, “Love Story” will be executive produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, who worked on “Gossip Girl”, “The OC” and “Looking for Alaska”.

“Mayor of Kingstown” – Set in a city where the prison business is the only thriving industry, the “Mayor of Kingstown” is following the McLusky family, the city’s power brokers. The show addresses issues of systematic racism, corruption and inequality.

“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” – A spin-off of “Star Trek: Discover,” “Strange New Worlds,” is based on the years Captain Christopher Pike led the USS Enterprise. Scientific Officer Spock is featured prominently in the series, which takes place a decade before the arrival of James T. Kirk.

“Italian job” – When Charlie Croker’s grandchildren inherit his old safe, the search for the infamous Italian ingot is resumed.

“The Man Who Fell to Earth” – Based on the novel of the same name Walter Tevis, “The Man Who Fell to Earth” stars Chiwetel Ejiofor. The series follows a new alien character who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution.

“Offer” – This limited series is based on the experiences of the producer Al Ruddy making “The Godfather”.

“View Parallax” – The series is based on “The Parallax View”, a political thriller starring Warren Beatty in the 1970s.

“Y: 1883” – A retelling of Western expansion, “Y: 1883” is a prequel to “Yellowstone.” The Dutton family follows as they head west across the Great Plain.

“6666” – Another working title, this show “Yellowstone” is set on 6666 Ranch, a working farm in Texas.

Avatar – Nickelodeon has created a new division of animation studios dedicated to creating content based on the world of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of Korra”. Original creators Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko will lead the indictment in partnership with Nickelodeon Animation Studio to create a wide range of Avatar-inspired content, ranging from spinoffs and theaters to short form.

“Dora the Explorer”– Paramount + will host a series of live actions based on “Dora the Explorer”.

“ICarly” – Set ten years after the events of the first series “iCarly”, this new show follows the characters played by Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress and Jerry Trainor during their current lives.

“Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years” – The first spin-off of “SpongeBob Squarepants”, “Kamp Koral” is an animated CG series that sees the iconic Bikini Bottom team when they meet for the first time in the summer camp.

“Rugrats” – Paramount + will also host a CG version of the 90’s hit “Rugrats”. The original voice distribution is set to return.

Star Trek: Prodigy – This series is suitable for children, but still has all the signs of a real Star Trek adventure.

“The Fairly OddParents” – The long-running animated series Nickelodeon gets a live action on Paramount +.

“Live Streams for Big Brother” – An in-depth look at what’s going on inside the Big Brother house.

“Empty meeting” – This restart brings together potential couples for a first date without clothes.

“Ink Masters” – Previously canceled, “Ink Masters” gets a new life on Paramount +. The show focuses on the nation’s best tattoo artists, as they compete in challenges that test their technical and creative skills.

“Love Island on Paramount +” – This series is an extension of the content seen on CBS. This will allow subscribers to see more of what was broadcast during the live broadcast.

“Queen of the Universe” – This singing contest brings dear queens from all over the world to compete to see who is the “Queen of the Universe”.

“Road rules” – Another renewal of a classic reality show is “Road Rules”, which sees abandoned foreigners in deserted locations stripped of modern luxury. They have to follow a set of clues and complete strange work for money.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” – The top competitors in the “Drag Race” are back for the chance to win $ 100,000 and a coveted place in the “Hall of Fame of the Drag Race”.

“The challenge: All Stars“- This series brings back 22 contestants from the original series” Real World “and” Road Rules “to compete for a prize of $ 500,000.

“The Real World: The Return: New York” – Thirty years later, Paramount + brings together the original cast of the first season of “The Real World.” The seven strangers will return to the loft in New York, where the series began.

“Frasier” – Kelsey Grammer returns as Dr. Frasier Crane in the reboot of Paramount + from “Fraiser”.

“Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies” – This prequel series takes place before “Grease” and tells the story of how Frenchy’s older sister, Jane, founded Pink Ladies.

“Guilty Party” – This dark comedy stars Kate Beckinsale as a discredited journalist who is upset when she catches the story of a young mother sentenced to life in prison for killing her husband – a crime she claims she did not commit -a.

“Inside Amy Schumer” – The Peabody and Emmy Award-winning show returns with five specials starring Amy Schumer.

“Reno 911! Hunt for QAnon” – Paramount + bills this as a “larger event” based on the long-running Comedy Central series “Reno 911!”

“The game” – This BET sitcom returns with a combination of its original cast and new players. It offers a look at black culture through the prism of professional football.

Harper House – An animated comedy follows, “The Harper House” and a woman head of the family who is too confident after losing her job and is forced to move from the rich part to the poor part of a small town in Arkansas.

“The Weekly Show with Trevor Noah” – While Paramount + is still working on a title for this project, it is said that the show will play Trevor Noah while dissecting the news stories, talking to the people behind the headlines.

“Younger” – The last season of “Younger” will come to Paramount +.

“Untitled Movie Beavis & Butt-head” – The MTV animated series becomes a complete feature before its new series.

“Film for fans” – Paramount + is creating a film based on the popular long-running Comedy Central series “Workaholics”.
