Kim Kardashian calls Bob West-inspired painting in the North West “classic”

North West joins the ranks of “classic” artists, at least she is in the eyes of Kim Kardashian’s mother.

Immortalizing the painting inspired by her daughter Bob Ross – who caused a stir about her authenticity a few weeks ago – Kardashian posted on her social media stream.

“I just had to post this bc, it’s a classic from the northwest!” The proud mother, 40, wrote a photo of the piece of art on Tuesday.

Earlier this month, TikTok user Camryn Fred accessed the popular social app shortly after fans began to wonder if the 7-year-old North would be able to pull off the painting, explaining that West had indeed painted the impressive work. under the guidance of Fred’s mother, an art teacher.

“My mom taught me how to do that, and North taught me how to do the same thing two weeks ago,” Fred said. “She’s been an art teacher for 30 years and everyone who comes to her classes goes through the same painting right at the beginning.”

Before Fred came to defend the child, Kardashian herself spoke for her daughter.

“DON’T PLAY WITH ME WHEN MY CHILDREN COME !!!” said the founder of Skims on her then-Instagram story. “My daughter and her best friend took a serious oil painting class, in which their talents and creativity are encouraged and cultivated.”

“North worked incredibly hard on her painting, which took a few weeks to complete,” she continued. “As a proud mother, I wanted to share her work with everyone. I see op-ed songs in the media and on social media from adult adults that break down whether or not my child has painted this. How dare you see children doing wonderful things and then trying to accuse them of NOT being wonderful ??!?! ”
