Raleigh, NC – More people in North Carolina are receiving COVID-19 vaccines as the state continues to provide more providers to meet growing demand. In addition, the state is seeing a significant increase in the doses shipped here.
Some figures from the state report on vaccine allocation:
- North Carolina is seeing a 23% increase in the new first doses allocated by the federal government.
- New data from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services shows that 2.3 million people received either the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine through state-registered providers.

- Wake County jumped from 11 to 27 vaccine providers.
- Durham County has grown from 6 to 11 vaccine providers.
- For the next three weeks (February 22, March 3, March 10), the state expects to receive 200,120 new doses from the federal government.
