Traeger Pellet grills and smokers are central to many suburban grills, and those lucky enough to take care of these machines are considered gods among the chest set. Now, after years of being able to check and adjust just your grill over the phone, Traeger is now offering an Apple Watch app for grills on the go.

Traeger grills are activated for wifi, which means you can connect to them remotely. The phone app currently offers recipes and notifications that tell you when the meat reaches a certain temperature. You can also change the heat and even activate the remote smoker.

The Apple Watch app is similar, but simpler. The application allows you to change the temperature, check the temperature of the probe and activate the heating mode after you have finished the meal. The video below shows an idyllic example in which the grill folds some beef on the grill and then walks with the snow, checking the grill from the comfort of your wrist.

The Apple Watch applications are not new, but it is particularly spicy, because, although it is not technologically impressive, it puts you in control of the smoked pork shoulder right on your wrist. If this is not the future, I don’t know what it is.
