Tyler Shough, the former Oregon starting quarterback, joins Texas Tech as a graduate transfer, he announced Monday.
Shough, who started all seven games in 2020, while Oregon won the second consecutive Pac-12 championship, will have three years of eligibility left for the Red Raiders.
He completed 63.5% of his passes for 1,559 yards with 13 touchdowns and six interceptions last season, but lost playing time to Anthony Brown in both the Pac-12 championship game and in the Fiesta Bowl. Shough said that after intending to stay in Oregon, he entered the NCAA transfer portal on Feb. 12.

Alan Bowman, Texas Tech’s top quarterback for the past three seasons, joined the transfer portal in January.
Texas Tech retains Henry Colombi, who ran for 1,065 yards and eight touchdowns last season, and welcomes Behren Morton, pocket passer no. 20 of ESPN and the general player of the ranking no.
Texas Tech replaced offensive coordinator David Yost with former school defender Sonny Cumbie. The Red Raiders finished 4-6 last season.
