Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is sold in Japan following the announcement of Pyra and Mythra’s Smash

Could Xenoblade Chronicles 2 finally get the hype it deserves? With just over 2 million sales worldwide since its launch in 2017 – compare the 23 million sales of Breath of the Wild – it is still the best-selling Xenoblade game with about half a million.

Following the announcement that Pyra and Mythra will be added to the Super Smash Bros. list. Ultimately, people rushed to check on the girls (or, er, girl) in action. As a result, copies of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are sold out on Amazon Japan, and the US version of Amazon has sold out as well.

It could be argued that this was Nintendo’s plan over time – Smash Bros. it has the power to revitalize a series of signals or to draw attention to an undervalued one. Maybe, though, Nintendo is just setting the stage for a completely new Xenoblade game – or a Switch port in Xenoblade Chronicles X. We can hope, can’t we?
