American Airlines has announced that from May 6, it will start operating three new daily routes from Bogotá, Cali and Medellín to New York, United States. Thus, the airline will have 14 daily flights to six destinations, including Bogota, Cali, Medellin, Barranquilla, Cartagena and Pereira.

According to the company, in December 2020 it began operating flights from its operations center in Miami, United States, to Bogota with a Boeing 777-200. Starting in March, it will operate large-scale aircraft in Cali and Medellín with the Boeing 787-800. “With the incorporation of these new flights into wide-body aircraft, additional frequencies from Miami to Bogotá, Cali, Cartagena and Medellín and new routes to New York, the American will have 160% more capacity in Colombia than in 2019 ″ .
