“This is false,” Puerto Rican music director Willie Sotelo reacted this morning to reports that Bad Bunny was producing the orchestra’s new album.
The relationship “Bad Rabbit” with the album “En cuarentena”, whose first single will be released on Friday, March 5, responds to the fact that it will be released under the Rimas Entertainment label, the same that publishes the urban productions of the music artist.
“I made an album, it’s called ‘In Quarantine’ and this album was finished. I was looking for a label to take it out and the Rimas label, which is the label that has Bad Bunny, Tommy Torres …, they wanted to open a Latin division and I finished the album, we had a date and they liked it “, he said. he explained Sotelo this morning in a telephone interview.
The co-founder and CEO of Rimas Entertainment is Noah Assad, the famous cloth manager, among other artists.
As part of this new agreement, the musician warned that no merger or collaboration with Bad Bunny was planned.
“We are very happy with this album, because we made an album that looks like ‘Nobody Sits Here (1979),'” Sotelo said. “All the songs are catchy, and in the style of Gran Combo, we’re there in what El Gran Combo has always been.”
The disc was recorded with COVID-19 prevention measures in Sotelo’s studio, and on the cover will be present the members wearing their respective masks.
“I recorded it remotely and everything was done right. We started recording it in 2019 and when the pandemic came, we had nothing left N / A what to do, we dedicate time to the album “, said the pianist. “I think it will be a good job and people will accept it very well.”
The first single, although not yet final, could be “El Combo del mundo”, which would start playing on March 5, and two weeks later, the full album will be released in digital and physical format, including CD and vinyl.
It will include musical arrangements by Sotelo himself, as well as by Isidro Infante. Compositions included Pedro Jesús, Luis’ Taty: Maldonado, Combo trumpeter, Peter Velázquez and Prodigio Claudio, among others. The executive production corresponds to Professor Rafael Ithier.
