The stadium will receive “over 100 games” this year

FIFA 21, Judgment and a series of nice platformers on the road

Google assures owners that, despite its somewhat rocky start, Stadia still has the full support of the company, with “over 100 games” currently scheduled for arrival on the cloud gaming service in 2021.

“We are delighted to continue to bring great games from some of the best developers our players can experience in the Stadia store,” an official Stadia forum post reads. “In the next few weeks and months, players can expect to see everything from action-packed RPGs to competitive co-op titles and agile platforms. […] These games are just a sample of the over 100 games that will be added to the Stadia store for our players in 2021 to share, experience and play with friends. “

Among the titles lined up for the immediate future of the Stadium is Electronic Arts’ FIFA 21 (March 17), the fighting detective of the Yakuza team Decision (April 23), and Cradle Games sci-fi RPG Hellpoint. Also listed are a number of cute, hardcover platform titles, including WayForward Shantae release Half-Genie Hero and Risky’s revenge, The fun aspect of PixelHive Kaze and the wild masks, and LiquidBit’s competitive multiplayer title Killer Queen Black.

The post follows Stadia’s recent announcement that it is already closing its internal gaming development studios, just over a year after the launch of the service. In the future, Stadia intends to focus on delivering third-party software, new and old, to its user community, releasing more games with each passing month.

I think there’s life in the old … erm … new dog still.
