A man was arrested yesterday, Saturday afternoon, after being found a case for violation of Law 54 (art. 3.2 aggravated assault) and violation of the Weapons Law (art. 6.06 transport and use of knives) for an incident that took place on Friday at a residence in the Quebrada Arenas neighborhood of Toa Alta, police reported.
The person was identified as Víctor Rodríguez Lozada, 43, a resident of Toa Alta.
According to the preliminary investigation, a woman was attacked in the head area and was left in a delicate condition.
She was initially treated at the Toa Alta Diagnostic and Treatment Center and was later sent to the Río Piedras Medical Center.
Agent Daysi Silva consulted the case with prosecutor Ginny Andreu, from the Family Violence Unit, who ordered the indictment of Rodríguez Lozada in Bayamón court.
Judge Manuel Méndez found his case in murder and set a $ 30,000 bail, which Rodríguez Lozada failed to pay, being admitted to the Bayamón Correctional Complex.
