“Yes, we will be ready by 4 o’clock, I think the technological facilities offered to us by the Central Electoral Council (JCE) it allowed the party to organize first a transparent, democratic and above all, agile process. Just an hour later, yesterday, the results of the vote were published, “said former official party spokesman Hector Olivo.
Olivo recalled that from that moment begins the deadline for the challenges of the results, which will last until February 17.
“A successful process”
Political committee member Melanio Paredes, like Olivo, called the voting process a “resounding success” because of the speed with which the results were issued and because “the right to democracy has been guaranteed”.
“This process was a great victory for the party, because we reunited them in 30 days. It was a success, about 40% of those convened participated,” the former Minister of Education added.
José Dantes Díaz expressed the same opinion, adding that it was a process with “very few complaints and very high participation”.
“The party is in a great process of transformation, when out of the 300 seats, about 200 are young people who have been. I think it is clear that there is an urgent need to renew itself, so that the country sees in the PLD a party that takes the complaints of young people as its own, “Dantes said.
Complaints
However, through social media, several PLD leaders expressed dissatisfaction with the process, claiming that she was corrupted by former President Medina.
“Starting today, he should change the name of PLD and start naming it: Danilo’s Force, Danilo’s Shield, What Danilo Says, Danilo CxA or Danilo’s El Colmado,” the former deputy and member of the central committee posted , José Laluz on Twitter.
Another who complained on that social network was former MP Aridio Vazquez who was also withdrew its aspirations to join the Political Committee and called for its exclusion from the Central Committee although he stressed that this “does not mean that he has left the party”.
The elections of the central committee took place yesterday, where 973 candidates competed for the 300 available places, out of the 110 places they are at national level and the other 190, at local level.
For these elections, the automated voting system of the Central Electoral Council was used.
