Border security agencies in the Dominican Republic have detained in Dajabón the former mayor of Port-au-Prince, Haiti and other companions with whom there is an arrest warrant for the country for alleged conspiracies and other acts.
It was reported that Chevry Youri Ralph and his companions were captured on Sunday evening at the border in the north of the country, and transferred on Monday to Santo Domingo in two helicopters of the Air Force of the Dominican Republic.
Along with Chevry Youri Ralph, his comrades Antonine Maquendy, a Haitian policeman, Wenson Pierrez, a former governor of the Haitian border community Sacalasou and Wiquenesonnt Despiene, were transferred.
The group is accused by the Haitian police of conspiracy, murder and other acts.
The Dominican authorities are expected to provide some information about these arrests.
