Around 8:30 a.m., police say the male suspect fired at a Walmart on MacDade Boulevard in Glenolden.
Police confirm that the suspect shot an employee, but failed. The incident may have been caused by a video game. No one was injured.
On Sunday afternoon, SWAT and several dozen officers stormed a house on the 400 block on Main Street in Darby County, where the suspect allegedly lived. According to investigators, police used the suspect’s phone to track him to the Darby location.
The action room showed officers with guns aimed at a building and several law enforcement officers walking down the street.
For hours, officers tried to get the suspect out of the house, but police believe the suspect fled before he got there.
Residents in the area were allowed to return to their homes around 4 p.m.
Police say the suspect may be armed and dangerous. He has not been identified at this time.
