Fifty-three percent of U.S. adults surveyed said Trump would not be allowed to run for public office again, while 50 percent said they would vote to condemn Trump in the Senate impeachment process if they got the vote. a poll implemented by Ipsos for Reuters.
An opinion poll by YouGov and The Economist Released Friday also found that 53 percent of people think Trump should not be re-run.

Many argue that Trump should not be re-run because of his actions and words that led to the January 6 Capitol riots that killed five people.
The Ipsos-Reuters survey found that 71 percent of American adults believe Trump was partially responsible for the riot. Half of the Republicans polled in the poll agreed that Trump was partially responsible.

He encouraged his followers to “stop the stealing” at his January 6 rally that took place just before the riot.
Despite arguments that Trump was not directly responsible for the riot, he was impeached by the House and is undergoing the impeachment process in the Senate.
Seventy-three percent of those polled said they had decided whether Trump should be convicted before the trial began.
The poll included 998 American adults and has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
