CASTLE SHANNON, Pa. (KDKA) – The health department of Allegheny County is setting up a coronavirus vaccine clinic in Castle Shannon to vaccinate people aged 65 and over.

In a statement issued Friday, the Allegheny County Health Department said the clinic will open Tuesday in the Castle Shannon Fire Department’s banquet hall on Library Road. Officials point out that on-site recordings or walking meetings are not allowed.
“Anyone who arrives on the scene without an appointment or who is not 65 or older will be rejected,” Allegheny County Health Department said in a statement.

People aged 65 and over can register online for an appointment starting Saturday at 9 am Telephone recording will be available from 9 am on Tuesday by calling 2-1-1.
“The links will be published at that time on the Health Department’s COVID-19 vaccine information site and sent via Allegheny Alerts,” the statement said.
“Telephone appointments are intended for those who do not have access to a computer or the Internet or who have difficulty navigating the online registration system and will be reserved for callers who meet these criteria,” the statement added.
