Mitchell Robinson injures Knicks’ victory over the wizards

Mitchell Robinson had a massive first half on Friday night, before suffering a right hand fracture late in the second quarter of the Knicks’ 109-91 victory in Washington.

The team’s starting center will be reevaluated on Saturday back in New York, the team said.

Robinson had 10 points and 14 rebounds – the first double-double of his career before the break of a match – before appearing to injure his hand as he tried to block a shot at the end of the second quarter.

The third-year center started each of the Knicks’ first 27 games, averaging 8.4 points and 8.4 tables per game.

Veteran men, Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson, could see increased playing time in Robinson’s absence.
