In the draft resolution, Suarez also proposed allowing city residents to pay property taxes or city taxes in cryptocurrencies, according to Bloomberg.
Bitcoin has proven to be a volatile cryptocurrency that can grow or lose more than half its value in just one month. However, Suarez said he supports Bitcoin and even intends for his city manager to consider investing a “limited amount of government funds” in it, Bloomberg reported.

acceptance, “Suarez said in a resolution.
It looks like the resolution will be presented to the city’s governing commission for approval on Thursday.
“What needs to be done is due diligence, not just from a legal perspective,” Russell said. “It’s not just a coin, it’s a concept.”
