Donny Neyra found her place in the world in the 2008 Apertura, where she was the highest figure Sports University and raised the title because it was “adopted” by Ricardo Gareca, the coach now al the Peruvian team, which is his birthday and which “Sticla” always remembers fondly and has no doubt in saying that he considers him a father. The former cream flyer had time to talk to EL BOCÓN and talk about his present, his anecdotes with Ricardo Gareca, his feelings about Christian Cueva and even jokes.
What is Ricardo Gareca to you?
For me, he is a person I cherish, I admire, I respect, a series of virtues. He is my old man, my father, an important person in my life.
You were Riquelme from Ate …
That his was a joke with Willy Rivas, Charra. He went. Good relationship with Ricardo, Bonillo, there is always love.
How about Gareca’s appearance?
(laughs) He looked like a shipwrecked man, my dear old man, he wanted to go unnoticed by his size. He was always shaved.
Do you have another “brother” like Cueva because of how vain?
Cueva is my younger brother. Ricardo really likes Christian, he belongs to both of them. We get along well, we have mutual friends, we made a video call. I’m glad he’s happy on a team, the rest comes alone.
