I know a thing or two about keeping magic alive.

Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen admitted that they are “still madly in love” after 25 years of marriage, as they wrapped the cover of PEOPLE’s first annual love issue.

The couple reflected on their relationship after being quarantined with each other for the past nine months, amid the global pandemic at their Los Angeles home.

Mary, 67, admitted before the social distance photo shoot that “they were alone, except today, for the last nine months.”

She added: “And we decided to stay together.”

Danson, 73, said: “We will choose every morning. It’s a rule.

The two first met when she auditioned to play her husband in the 83-year-old Cross Cross – and she didn’t get the role.
