BOERNE, Texas – The city of Boerne will host a COVID-19 vaccination center on Friday for 500 doses of Modern vaccine at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
According to a press release, residents can register to reserve a vaccination slot on the Boerne website starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday. A link to the registration forms will be posted on the city’s website, and residents will have the option to proceed with the Spanish translation.
No one will be admitted without an appointment and will not be registered at the church.
Mayor Tim Handren urged people not to call the church and said that because the recording is only available online, family and friends may need to help those who may not be good at the technique.
“If you have parents or grandparents who might need technological help to register and if you can help them at 9 o’clock, it would be great,” Handren said.

Only residents who are eligible to receive the vaccine in accordance with phases 1A and 1B of the State Department of Health Services will be allowed to receive a vaccine, the press release said.
After booking confirmation, people will receive a follow-up email with information about the meeting. Residents are asked not to show up more than 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
