Fans would rather see the San Francisco 49ers stay with Jimmy Garoppolo than give up significant project capital for any potential defender available, who is not named Deshaun Watson. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports noted in the Super Bowl LV network before the game that the 49ers are among the “very interested” teams to acquire Watson from the Houston Texans, if they become available.
“Deshaun Watson, he still wants to leave Houston,” La Canfora said. “Texans tell teams, ‘We don’t trade it.’ This could change through the project. I can tell you, 49ers, Panthers (are) among the teams very interested in Deshaun Watson, as well as Jets. “
The competition for Watson could become fierce if Texans seek to excite him. It is not known how long the 49ers, if they were really interested, would be willing to compete in a bidding war. Of course, Watson has a certain leverage in terms of where he goes, due to the prohibition clause in his contract. It should approve any destination if it can force a transaction.
Speaking of the New York Jets, La Canfora feels that their defender, Sam Darnold, could be changed as well, especially if Watson is in the game for them. Would San Francisco be interested?
“Sources tell me that 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan (is) very high on Sam Darnold,” added La Canfora. “If this is a game, follow me here, the 49ers would trade Jimmy Garoppolo, and sources tell me Bill Belichick would love to have a Jimmy G reunion in New England.”

ESPN’s Barnwell proposes trade with 3 teams, sending Deshaun Watson to 49 years

ESPN’s Bill Barnwell prefaced his latest feature, saying, “I don’t think Houston Texans should change Deshaun Watson.” The star defender is too good a talent to even consider escaping. Of course, the thinking process changes when your defender gives the strong impression that he has no desire to play another blow for you. The relationship between Watson and the Texans has worsened, with many expecting the Pro Bowl star’s defender to look for a deal three times. Barnwell added: “If he wanted to leave, I would strongly encourage Cal McNair to do whatever it takes for Watson to change the way he feels. A job should be just the last resort.” Barnwell ranked the place

One thing is clear from NFL.com, which is examining possible landing places for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson – no one has any idea how this will happen. Seven different contributors were asked to predict the outcome of the Texans-Watson saga and it led to six different responses. The New York Jets, chosen by Jeffri Chadiha and Marc Ross, were the only team named several times. The other teams mentioned were the Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins. Colts, chosen by Nate Burleson, are always an interesting option to hear. If you’re a Texan, you want to be forced to break up

Cowherd: 49ers should be Deshaun Watson’s best choice “within a mile”

Deshaun Watson has a ban clause in his contract, which means he has a veto over any destination the Houston Texans choose for him through a transaction. Watson and the Texans are at odds, and the defender wants to get out. He is in a unique situation, because if the Texans accept his commercial request, he can dictate where he goes. While FS1 host Colin Cowherd recently shared the reasons why he thought the 49ers might not be a good fit for Watson, he said this week that San Francisco should be at the top of the list of places to land. defender – and it’s not even close. “No. 1 would be San Francisco a mile away,” Cowherd said. “I am, without Deshaun Watson, a top-five

Vick, in communication with Deshaun Watson, suggests the 49ers as a good match

Deshaun Watson wants to get out of Houston. The Texans say they do not intend to change their star defender. The situation between the player and the team may not be close to a resolution. Former NFL defender Michael Vick has been in contact with Watson and has a suggestion of a potential landing place if the Texan passer can force an exchange. Watson has some leverage. The prohibition clause in his contract allows him to approve or deny potential landing places. But first, he must persuade the Texan archives to drop the commercial demand. “I will have a conversation with [Watson] later today, “Vick told Nick Wright of FS1 while taking his place for Colin Cowherd at The Herd.” We talked about this a few minutes ago and we’ll talk about it, just in
