The comments stem from speculation as to whether the former president will make another bid for the White House in 2024. Trump hasn’t ruled it out, though he may face headwinds after being crushed over the January 6 riots on Capitol Hill, which saw a sharp drop in his approval ratings.
Last month, the House accused Trump of his role in instigating the uprising, making him the first US president to be impeached on two separate occasions. He is expected to be acquitted in his second trial.
With a 50-50 split in the Senate, each Democrat would have to be joined by 17 Republicans to lead to a conviction; However, all but five voted on a measure that declared the process unconstitutional, as Trump is absent.
Parscale was a key player in Trump’s 2016 campaign, returning as his campaign manager in his reelection bid until he was impeached in July. He left the campaign altogether in September when he was involuntarily detained by police in his Florida home.
